This story was told by a Dad about his little girl who is seven years old and in second grade.
"Yesterday she made a flag out of paper. Last night she came up to me and pinned it on my shirt. She said, 'This is for you to wear to work tomorrow. And if anyone asks why, you can tell them that it's in memory of all those kids that lost their mommy or daddy and have no one to read them stories at night."
The radio DJ said, "I bet you're wearing it right now huh?"
The man said, "Of course! And with PRIDE!"
LOVE the innocence and sweetness of children! It is estimated that at least 10,000 children lost at least one parent on 9/11/01! What a tragedy that most of us probably don't quite think of or realize! LOVE your children with ALL YOUR HEART! MAKE sure that they know how much you love them..no matter what! Which reminds me of something I heard a young girl say. She said that her dad would ALWAYS kiss them good-bye before he left for work so that no matter what, if something happened to him on his way to work that they would always know how much he loved them. Every time she remembers that day, she remembers that kiss good-bye, and remembers how much her daddy loves her!
