Alexis turned 8 months old on December 20th, 2010! She went in for a check-up and weighed 17 pounds 15 ounces. She was 2 feet 3 3/4 inches tall!! SOOO tall!! This was her first time to the new pediatrician and he was impressed! Asked if she had always been to tall...yep! Alexis has been army crawling from 3-4 months old. Right after she turned 7 months old she learned how to crawl on all fours. She doesn't do it often though. She only does it on hardwood floors and the not-so-soft carpet in the basement..other than that she still army crawls and she is FAST!! Just like Gage did!! On our Thanksgiving trip to Montana she also learned how to crawl up the two steps in Cory's parents front room..yep steps!! We also figured out that if we set Alexis down in a sitting position, she can sit but she still hasn't quite gotten there on her own..very very close though!! Right after 7 months she also learned how to pull herself up..one boxes, chairs, furniture, her crib! EVERYTHING!!! I can't believe she is already doing that..I thought I still had a few months left!! Guess not!! Alexis tried her high chair for the first time and LOVED it! She always feels so big...just one of the other kids..when she is sitting in it eating her dinner while we eat ours! Alexis LOVES to be outside and is a true snow bunny! She just wants to get right down into it!! Alexis still loves to play the copycat game and she's learned a new one. I will click my tongue and she does it back. It's SO cute!! She's gotten into the stage of not being sure she wants to be put down and left alone in her crib. Sometimes she's fine and falls right to sleep. Other times she plays for a bit then falls asleep. And other times she wails because she is so tired but wants to be loved on! She is SUPER attached to her blanket! She LOVES that thing. If you give it to her she will grab it and put it right to her face and snuggle it. Too cute!! She is still pretty happy most of the time. She loves to play with toys and is fascinated by lights! Can't wait to see how much more she learns this next month! Love you Alexis!!
