First fair!!!

(September 8th, 2012)

We decided to take the kids to their first ever fair experience!!!  They were excited to get to go have fun AND go see the rodeo at the same time!!!  We have three (and possibly a fourth) very obsessed, wanna-be-future barrel racers, and a wanna be cowboy on our hands!!!

First fair ride for Gage, Taya, and Haylee!  Gage and Taya were SO excited for this ride!  Haylee really wanted to go but the nervousness was more than evident on her face! I'm proud of her for doing it even though she was scared at first!  Peyton wanted nothing to do with this ride but Alexis did. We wouldn't let her go on it though because we were afraid she would get nervous and try to stand up..didn't want her to do that at all..much less on a ride that goes up in the air!!

Haylee really enjoyed it once she was on it!!

First fair ride for Peyton and Alexis!!  Gage, Taya, and Haylee went on this one too.  Cory went on it too just to make sure Alexis didn't try to stand..she didn't and she and Peyton loved their first fair ride!  This one was a hit with everyone.  It went fast, in circles, and had small ups and downs like a mini roller coaster!

Ferris wheel!!! My FAVORITE ride!!! I didn't get to go on it though.  Peyton and Haylee would not go up there so Cory took Gage, Taya, and Alexis.

I am told that Taya was pretty dang nervous..so she scooted her butt right next to Gage and put her hand on his leg for safety! Cory said they were SO cute and Gage made sure to put an arm around and protect his sister!  I love these two and their special bond!!

And apparently Alexis did not like it at first!  She is crying in this picture! :(  Cory said that she started crying but then he pulled her right in next to him and she started to sit up, look around, and really enjoy it!!

 After a stop (a longer stop than we expected because our card wouldn't work..then we had to find an ATM..then go back to the stand..) at a stand to get cotton candy and water, we made our way to the rodeo.  The kids had been wanting to go watch this all night long!!  Well..we showed up too late!  There were NO seats left and not even any standing room! :(  So we sat on the grass right outside the stands and watched and listened.  Cory took turns holding up each of them on his shoulders so they could watch and we ate cotton candy!!

 Haylee tried cotton candy and HATED it!!  She made the funniest "ick" face ever!!  I tried to get her to repeat it for the camera..

 On our way out..we had SOOO much fun!!! I LOVE the fair and I am SO excited to have gotten to share it with my husby and my babes!!!
