First Family Vacation!!

(September 1st, 2012)

We really wanted to take a family vacation before school started.  School starts on the 4th so we had to do it this weekend.  We had wanted to go to St. George..Cory thought it would be too hot..so we had to come up with something else on the fly.  So, although we go to Logan often, Cory wanted to take the kids there and actually show them different things.  So today..we took off!!!

 Our hotel was out of power when we got there.  Apparently there had been a power line down since 10am, and we got there a little after 2pm.  We went to the store and picked up some things then went back and checked in anyway.  About 5 minutes after we were there the power came on! YEAH!!!!!  The kids were so excited and Gage kept saying, "Your wish came true Mama!  The lights are on!!  Great job making a wish!"  The funny things kids hear and their little brains put them together in odd ways!!  Today we went out to dinner at Cafe Sabor and then went swimming in the hotel..lots of fun!!!!!

 Cory took Gage, Haylee, and Alexis on a long walk around campus.  Peyton, Taya, and I took a lil nap on the green!  Here's Taya just chillin!!

 We went to 2nd Dam and watched the fishermen for a few minutes..

 Then we went to dinner at Wingers.  Gage and Taya had been waiting ALL DAY LONG to go swimming again!  So Cory took them and Alexis....

Haylee and Peyton didn't want to go so here's the two cute girls while I took some pics!

 (September 3rd, 2012)

Today we ate breakfast and checked out of the hotel.  We took the kids ice skating! 

Taya, Gage, and Alexis LOVED ice skating!  They took off right away!  Taya and Gage did GREAT with the walkers! Taya did NOT like skating with Daddy and wanted to do her own thing with the walker. She was on the entire time until about 5 minutes before time to go when she fell REALLY hard on her butt.  It hurt her and she was ready to go.  She says she still wants to go again though!  GOOD!!  

Alexis didn't use the walker but she LOVED skating with Daddy and did NOT want to take turns with anyone!!  (I can't believe I didn't get any pictures of her skating!)  She can't wait to go again!!!

Gage LOVED the walker and skating with Daddy!  He fell a few times but none were hard so he got right back up each time.  He is SO excited to go again too!!

 Haylee would NOT get on the ice at all!  She wanted nothing to do with it once we got near the rink.  Peyton wanted to..but she fed off of Haylee and wouldn't go either.  Cory and I were mad about spending the money for them to go and them not even stepping foot on the ice..but they wouldn't budge! 

 I had so much fun spending the weekend with just my lil family and me!  It was a blast getting to take them on our first ever family vacation!  Cory and I are definitely going to make a point to go on some type of family vacation each year..no matter how large or small!!  We sure love you kids!!  The kids had a blast and still talk about the vacation!  They loved it!!
